What is canyoning?
Canyoning is an outdoor experience that consists of descending rivers by foot in areas with pronounced uneven, natural pools and waterfalls, normally of great beauty, using maneuvers like jumping into the water, rappelling, zip-line, slides, destrepe and guided rappelling as a way of overcoming the various natural obstacles that we face. It is an opportunity to meet and enjoy magical places that otherwise would not be possible to reach. Portugal has a very favorable climate that makes this practice even more enjoyable.
All programs include transportation?
All programs include pick up and drop off at your accommodation place in Porto and, depending on the itinerary, we can also provide transportation to Braga, Gerês National Park and Freita mountains area.
To practice canyoning do i need a special fitness and motor ability?
Any healthy person without special physical preparation is able to do canyoning - easy level. The difficulty itineraries require a good physical fitness and previous experience in canyoning.
To practice canyoning do I need to know swim?
No, we provide appropriate equipment to people who can not swim.
What is the recommended period to practice canyoning?
In Portugal we can do canyoning from mid-March to mid-November.
What is the minimum and maximum age to participate in our programs?
The minimum age is 10 years old and the maximum age is 75 years old.
